Desperados ‘Experience the Edge’ Grand Prize

1. The promoter is Heineken Ireland Limited trading at Leitrim St Cork.
2. The Desperados ‘Experience the Edge’ Grand Prize competition is only open to entry from individuals who are aged 18 years and over (proof of age may be required) and reside in the Republic of Ireland.
3. Entry into this competition will be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance by the applicant of the terms and conditions of this competition.
4. To enter the competition, entrants must fill in the Desperado ‘Experience the Edge’ Holiday Competition form.
5. No purchase is necessary. Entries are also accepted on www.desperados.ie
6. The Desperados ‘Experience the Edge’ Grand Prize competition will start March 1st 2010 and closes after the competition at 10pm on Dec 31st 2010.
7. Heineken may insist that accompanying individuals must be over 18 years of age and reside in the Republic of Ireland. The prize-winners and accompanying individuals must have valid passports. All visas and vaccinations are the responsibility of the prize-winners. Heineken does not accept responsibility in the event of prize-winners not being allowed entry into a country by authorities.
8. Save as provided in clause 21, the prizes are as stated however alternative cash or otherwise can be offered at the descretion of Heineken Ireland. The prizes are not transferable.
9. Prize includes: Return flights for four people to a major European city of your choice (a), Return transfers from the airport to the hotel, 2 x Night’s accommodation at in a central 4 star hotel (b), Breakfast each morning in the hotel restaurant, An activity of your choice in your chosen city for four people (c), Travel insurance
10. Prize Terms and Conditions (a)Travel is subject to availability at the discretion of the organiser. Chosen European city must be a major city within the EU and have direct access from Dublin airport. (b) Hotel is classed as a 4 Star and is based on two adults sharing a twin or double room (winner’s choice) with en suite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis.(c) Your chosen activity must be operational in your chosen city and is subject to availability. Activities can be chosen up to a total budget of €400.00 (d) Subject to normal terms of acceptance.
11. The winners may be required for publicity purposes. Entrants agree by entering the Competition to participate in such publicity.
12. Employees and / or relatives of employees of Heineken Ireland Limited, its associated companies and any agents connected to this competition are not eligible to enter the competition and/or win any prize.
13. Heineken Ireland Limited reserves the right to vary, cancel or modify the competition at any time and for whatever reason.
14. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

Desperados ‘Party Throwers’ – Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter is Heineken Ireland Sales Limited, Leitrim St., Cork with its registered office at Ladyswell Brewery, Cork (‘Heineken’).
2. An entrant must be over 18 years of age and reside in the Republic of Ireland on the date of entry in order to be eligible for this promotion. Entrants must provide proof of age and/or residence if requested. The prizes awarded under this promotion permit the winner to share the prize with 20 nominated guests who must also be over 18 years of age and reside in the Republic of Ireland. The determination of residence and qualification for entry to the promotion shall be at Heineken’s sole discretion.
3. Employees or contractors of Heineken or its associated companies and agencies or companies otherwise connected to this promotion may not enter the promotion (this prohibition extends to immediate family members of any of the prohibited persons referred to above and to individuals who become prohibited persons during the course of the promotion).
4. No purchase of any product is necessary to enter the promotion. Enter free at www.desperados.ie or http://www.facebook.com/. Entrants are required to complete the application question. Winners will be contacted after the 8th March 2010.
5. Incomplete, illegible or late entries will not be accepted. The opening date for entry is 8th of February 2010 and the closing date for entry is the 8th of March 2010. No organised groups or representatives are permitted to enter this promotion. No syndicates or groups are permitted to enter this promotion. Multiple automatically generated entries will not be considered. Heineken accepts no responsibility for entries not received.
6. Winners may be required to agree to additional terms and conditions communicated to them by Heineken.
7. The prizes are not transferable or for sale or resale or redeemable for cash and can only be used by the winner. No cash alternative is available.
8. By accepting their prizes, the winners grant (and shall procure that their nominated guest grant) Heineken the right to use and publish their names and pictures in such media as Heineken may choose for advertising and/or promotional purposes. If requested by Heineken, prizewinners must agree to take part in any publicity regarding their prize.
9. No warranty or guarantee is given by Heineken in relation to the prizes. Heineken shall not be liable or responsible for any loss, liability, damage or injury suffered or sustained to person or property (including, but not limited to, consequential loss) by reason of any act or omission by Heineken or its servants or agents in connection with the supply of any goods or services by any person to the prizewinners and their nominated guests or by reason of an entrant or prizewinner otherwise participating in this promotion.
10. No responsibility will be accepted by Heineken for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet, accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorised human act.
11. Desperados is distributed at one drink per person.
12. By entering this promotion each entrant confirms for good and equitable remuneration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, that he or she hereby assigns to Heineken any and all copyright and other intellectual property rights that may arise to or vest in that entrant in relation to the material submitted by him or her as part of this promotion and hereby waives his or her moral rights in respect of same and permits Heineken to exploit these rights in all media now known or hereafter invented as Heineken sees fit.
13. Participating details and other information supplied by each entrant will not be used for any other purpose outside of the administration of this promotion without obtaining the permission of that entrant.
14. Party Throwers who submit photos from each event, will allow for photos to be uploaded to Facebook and Desperados.ie.
15. Entering the promotion shall be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions of this promotion. A failure to adhere to these terms and conditions shall result in disqualification from the promotion and, if necessary, forfeiture of a prize. Heineken reserves the right to suspend, cancel or withdraw this promotion, or amend the terms and conditions of this promotion, in whole or in part at any time.
16. Heineken Ireland reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer in whole or in part at any given time.
